Salary Range:  20.00-30.00

Description: 
Engineering firm based in Altoona, PA and has an immediate opening in the CAD design department .  Under the direction of the project engineers and designers, the successful candidate will assist with preparation of conceptual, preliminary, and final drawings. This position is focused toward working on Site/Civil and Utility installation drawings using company standards, survey data, sketches and verbal communications to produce accurate high-quality drawings. Candidate must have strong organization skills, work as a team player and maintain a professional appearance.  This position requires the ability to work on multiple projects to maintain project deadlines, attend and participate in meetings with the CAD Manager and other team members, work overtime if required and maintain accurate project files. Employees are given all the tools and training necessary to be a successful employee. They are recognized and rewarded through annual job performance reviews for hard work, and innovative/creative ideas.  Qualifications for this position should include:
  • Completion of a high school, vocational or college level courses in computer aided drafting.
  • Ability to work with 2D and 3D modeling.
  • Operating the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D program with at least 2-5 years of experience.
  • Proficient with working with image files.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word.
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills.
  • Experienced in working with Surveyors, MicroStation and ArcGIS is a plus.
