Title:  SURVEY TECHNICIAN

Description: 
Engineering firm based in Altoona, PA and has an immediate opening in the surveying department for the position of Survey Technician. Qualified applicants should be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather (rain, extreme heat, etc.) full time.  Applicant should be eager to learn, work well with survey team members and be detail oriented.  Job duties will include performing topographic field surveys for design purposes, boundary surveys and construction stakeout surveys. Qualifications will generally include; 
  • Utilize field data collectors, setting up GPS equipment, and perform field sketches. 
  • Be able to swing a hammer, ability to traverse various types of terrain, and lift and carry equipment for extended periods of time.  Other related duties will include driving wood stakes, rebar pins and clearing brush.
  • Travel and overnight stays occasionally depending on the location of the project.
  • 2 years of survey or related experience (preferred, not required)
  • PA Driver’s license
  • AutoCAD experience a plus (or be willing to be trained)
